Rawa Simprug Connecting Channel will Be Dredged

After illegal buildings on Rawa Simprug Connecting channel (PHB) were demolished, the connecting channel which is located at Jalan Masjid An Nur III RT 15/01 Grogol Selatan will be dredged.

"We finish the demolishment first. Then it will be continued with the sediment dredging," said Head of Water Management Section for Kebayoran Lama Sub-District, Rama, Thursday (7/2). 

His side, Rama stated, actually has conducted the dredging in the flow of Simprug connecting channel around RT 14/01. However, because of there are many buildings standing on the channel of RT 15/01, the project is stopped for a while. "The channel at RT 14/01 has been dredged. As in here is impossible due to many buildings, almost blocked it all," he disclosed.

Polor Dam Needs Dredging

Based on beritajakarta.com observation, certainly the environment at RT 15/01 looks a bit dirty. Besides locating at the edge of railways, the residents made the bridge or buildings on the channel quite dense. Even the channel below it is barely seen.

Kebayoran Lama Sub-District Vice Head Endang Efendi claimed most of citizens who occupy the area are the peddlers in Kebayoran Lama Market.

Currently the demolishment process of those illegal buildings is temporarily stopped. "For bigger land area such as warehouse, room, and toilet have been demolished. But we need extra support and special tools to tear down all of it," he uttered.
